I was raised with a love for Polish literature and art history. In such an atmosphere, sensitivity to beauty and curiosity about the world develop. Both Impressionism, with its fleeting emotions, and Art Nouveau, with its restlessness and asymmetry, are very dear to me. I believe that designing and searching for new, universal decorations for various pottery items represents a commercial form of drawing from the heritage of the Young Poland movement, a trend in Polish literature at the turn of the 20th century, where the boundary between art and craftsmanship was abolished. What I find inspiring is the ability to work with color and the variety of decoration techniques to give everyday ceramics beautiful and unique motifs that reference tradition and original design ideas.
