Maria Ciszewska

Kunstneren har været tilknyttet den kunstneriske håndværkskooperativ "Artistic Ceramics and Pottery" siden 1981 og har været mønsterdesigner siden 1994.

To elementer har inspireret mig: cirklen og prikken. Disse er de ældste symboler i menneskets kultur. Opfindelsen af hjulet satte gang i en hurtig udvikling af menneskets liv. På den anden side er en prik ikke kun et enkelt mærke eller dets tykkelse; det er storheden i helheden og helheden i storheden. Kombinationen af de to elementer – cirklen og prikken – giver utallige muligheder for at skabe forskellige mønstre.

Prikker, der flyder ind i hinanden fra de mindste til de største – eller prikker af samme størrelse – skaber et interessant dekorativt element. Cirkler af samme størrelse, indrammet af en smal eller bred koboltstribe, understreger klarheden og skønheden i formen. Jeg har endnu ikke udtømt denne komposition. De kunstneriske muligheder inspirerer mig konstant til at vise nye relationer og kombinationer.
